The Fire Safety Manager (FSM) is responsible for ensuring compliance
with fire safety regulations, conducting fire risk assessments, and
implementing fire prevention measures. The FSM will work closely
with building management and authorities to maintain fire safety
standards and coordinate emergency response plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with the Fire Code and other regulatory requirements.
- Organize and conduct fire drills and emergency response training for staff and tenants.
- Liaise with SCDF and other regulatory bodies on fire safety matters.
- Oversee the maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment.
- Investigate fire safety breaches and incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide fire safety training and awareness programs for employees.
- Maintain and update fire safety records and documentation.
To be successful in this role, your need to have: -
- Diploma in Fire Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) registered with SCDF.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire safety management.
- Knowledge of local fire safety regulations, codes, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
